Frequently asked questions

Can I use my bundle to make calls and send SMS to and from Europe?
You can call and/or send SMS within the limits of your bundle to and from the European zones to these same zones and Luxembourg.
For example, if your plan includes 10 hours of calls/month: during your travels in Spain, you can use the 10 hours included in your plan to:
- Call your friends and relatives in Luxembourg;
- Call your hotel in Spain to confirm your booking;
- Call your best friend who lives and works in Germany.
If you use all of your 10 hours, you will be blocked or invoiced as per the Luxembourg out-of-bundle rate applicable to your plan.

Can I use my mobile data allowance in Europe?
You can use your monthly mobile data allowance in the European Zone and in Luxembourg.
If you run out of mobile data allowance, one of the following plan conditions will apply until the day when your allowance is reset (depending on the mobile plan you have):
- reduced speed;
- blocked mobile data;
- out-of-bundle rate applicable in Luxembourg depending on the zone where mobile data is being used

Two rates can be applied.
Let’s take the Elite plan for example. It includes 15GB of mobile data, of which 10GB can be used in Europe.
• If you use your mobile data allowance in Europe up to 10GB, there is no additional charge invoiced
• If you use your mobile data allowance in Europe between 10GB and 15GB, the charge applicable is the roaming surcharge. It costs 0.0090€/MB
• If you use your mobile data allowance in Europe beyond 15GB, the charge applicable will be the roaming surcharge between 10GB and 15GB (0.0090€/MB) then 0.025€/MB above 15GB.

Can I check my consumption in Europe?
You can easily track your consumption in your tracking area (on your My Orange web app or in your Customer Area).

In practical terms, what changes apply to my plan?
With the Access plan:
The Access plan is a consumption based plan. Access already benefits from a unique tariff in Luxembourg and Europe. There are no changes planned.

With the Orange Light plan:
Your calls and SMS in Luxembourg, to and from Europe are included and you benefit from 2GB of mobile data in Luxembourg and Europe.
If, for example, you use 1GB in Belgium, you still have 1GB to be used on your return to Luxembourg. The same principle applies to the calls and SMS included in your plan and options.

With the Orange Plus plan:
Your calls and SMS in Luxembourg, to and from Europe are included and you benefit from 6GB of mobile data in Luxembourg and Europe.
If, for example, you use 1GB in Belgium, you still have 5GB to be used on your return to Luxembourg. The same principle applies to the calls and SMS included in your plan and options.

With the Orange Elite or Orange Ultimate plans:
Your calls and SMS in Luxembourg, to and from Europe are included and you benefit from 15GB for Elite and 25GB for Ultimate of mobile data in Luxembourg and in Europe. In accordance with European regulation, excessive usage of bundles in roaming will be notified to the consumers and charged at 0.0090€/MB for European mobile data consumption above: 10GB in Europe for Elite and 12GB in Europe for Ultimate.

If for example your plan includes 15GB and you use 8GB in France you have 7GB left on your return.

If you use 11GB in France, you have 4GB left and 1GB will be invoiced at a rate of 0.0090€/MB, so 9.22€.

Is 10GB of mobile data enough?

With 10GB of mobile internet, you can:
Visit 30,000 web pages or read 68,000 emails without attachments or 10,000 emails with attachments or download 2,000 MP3 files or watch 640 minutes on YouTube

With the Connect plan:
The Connect plan is blocked in Luxembourg only. Its use is therefore limited to calls, SMS and mobile data in Luxembourg.

With the Elo plan:
Your calls and SMS in Luxembourg and from Europe are included and you benefit from 5 GB of mobile data in Luxembourg and Europe, with 3.3 GB available to be used in Europe.

If, for example, you use 1GB in Belgium, you still have 4 GB to be used on your return to Luxembourg. The same principle applies to the calls and SMS included in your plan and options.

What if you have an older plan? Your plan will be automatically updated on the 12th of June 2017. You will be notified by email and SMS of the contents of your plan following the new European regulation before the 12th of June 2017.
